Most hermit crabs are known for carrying their homes on their backs,
but Julio is a bit of a show- off....
This week's illustration was inspired by a new little friend of mine, Braedan, who likes to visit the aquarium, and my REAL 8-yr-old hermit crab, Julio, who actually DOES carry clay flower pots, and would certainly try to pick up a treasure chest if we had one!
As always, I appreciate your comments!! Thanks for stopping by!
I am impressed! So cool that you have a hermit crab. Fun illustration!
ReplyDeleteno one likes a show-off wonderful like always
ReplyDeleteVery cute! i love the green fish. He looks well impressed.
ReplyDeleteGreat, love the octopus's experession!
ReplyDeleteThe eyes got me in! Is it a look of surprise or fear? He's one mighty little fella isn't he? And your real hermit crab sounds like an interesting character too... :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute, I like it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful tribute to Julio & power-lifting hermit crabs everywhere! As well as a lesson to us all: no matter how tight a hold one keeps on a treasure, a rival can still walk off with it, right under one's nose.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Wow Julio sounds very strong! Well done for the word. hee hee. Great octopus too! Great one! :D
ReplyDeleteVery cute illustration. I don't blame him for keeping his house close, looks like quite an expensive estate.
ReplyDeleteThis one is awesome... Love the expressions on everyone's faces, that total "WTH" expression! Also, I dig the texture on the octopus. I love when cartoonists can add some texture to something, and still keep it simple and great looking. Nice job Michele!
