YIELD - Because some animals ALWAYS have the right of way!
This week's word, YIELD was tough for me because I kept thinking "car" and figured that would be a popular subject. I like to be different! But when my friend Jill mentioned "skunk" the proverbial light bulb went off & I totally ran with it! My eye actually teared like the rabbit's while I was working on it, but I can assure you, it was due to a mascara malfunction, & not a skunk in my studio!!! Was really tired, & anticipated doing a shoddy rushed job, but I had a lot of fun playing around with this one & am kinda lovin' it! Click on the picture to see it full-size! As always, I welcome your comments!
LOVE IT!!
ReplyDeleteLove it Michele!!! Hmmm... I can think of a few people who ALWAYS have the right of way as well! I get the same reaction :)
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, that is one toxic-looking stink cloud. I love the moose - so cute! The rabbit is pretty great too and I like that cool texture on the trees. I hate to think poor skunk has no friends. He should go to the skunk doctor and try to get things under control!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, so much easier to comment, hooray!
Great! You caught the moment when the bird suddenly loses consciousness :).
ReplyDeleteAre we looking through special infra-green poop-visualizing glasses?
Ah, this is great! I, for one, had a tough time coming up with a concept for this prompt, but yours is right on! I love all the little details.
ReplyDeleteAhahaha! Great take on the prompt... I think even the so-called King of the Jungle might yield to this guy & his terrifying weapon!
ReplyDeleteA very fun picture, but the tear in the rabbit's eye takes the cake:-)That little detail really drew me in!
ReplyDeleteLove the expressions on all the animal's faces!
ReplyDeleteGreat expressions on all the animals' faces, especially that bunny tear. I used to have dogs that thought skunks were pretty kitties to play with. I think I'm having flashbacks looking at your toxic cloud :)
ReplyDeleteOh that green cloud is sooooo effective! The neon color makes it look radioactive. It seems your happy skunk is the only one who's not aware of his body odor. (I suppose that's the way it is for some people too).
ReplyDeleteI finally got the new laptop and network permissions set properly to allow my making comments here, can't tell you how happy that makes me, finally.
ReplyDeleteNo comment.
-Your Idiot Designer (not the new one)
WOOOOOO! Potent stuff! Hahahaha, love the birdie putting on the brakes. Sometimes I wish I were a skunk so people would move out of my way. You know? Great illustration!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for taking the time to comment! I was almost peeing my pants laughing as I read many of them!!!
ReplyDeleteYour work is so cheeky & fun! The colours, rendering & composition are great too!
