Illustration Friday - SWAMP

When Allistair, a bit of a hellraiser, took to his skis, Ferris tried to avoid getting swamped...

Big, HUGE thanks to all of you who took the time to check out my blog last week! Bathing Bertha & I both appreciate your comments!!! Getting to see everyone's different interpretations of the theme, & interacting with other artists is what I enjoy most about Illustration Friday challenges! I hope you had as much fun with "swamp" this week as I did!

  1. Haha!...Ferris needn't worry he is waterproof and Allistair is nearly an anagram of hellraiser(apart from an H and two e's!) Nice work.

  2. Haha, this is so great! So much action! I particularly like how one of the herons is freaking out and escaping while the other one is admiring Allistair's technique. Great colors and details. Poor Ferris in the foreground with his subtle spots really seems to be flying through the air, and a bit out of control. Nice!

  8. Nice job... that gator's kind of a jerk though... Love this, and I got a little extra chuckle out of it as my wife's maiden name is Ferris.

  12. So funny and well done! Really nice design elements, too. Ferris and his very animated escape leap are the first things I saw. Then the wave lead me to Allistair and his fantastic self-satisfied smile. That's one happy alligator. Very nice implied lines! (Do I sound too much like a teacher??)

  15. Haha! I knew alligators were dangerous, but I never realized it was because of their sporting preferences! What a clever take on the prompt too, illustrating both noun & verb meanings.

  20. I'm with the frog on this one - get out of the way of a jet skiing gater! Its certainly not the murky dark swamp I imagine... much more fun! Love the frog and the graphic wave. Thanks for your comment too :)
