Maggie had no idea what happened! She'd only gone into the kitchen for a minute to fetch the carrots!
This week was another fun one for me! Lots of things popped into my head when I first read the prompt, "puzzled," and the first was a dog cocking its head. But I thought that might be a bit popular, so I went with something different....and INDOORS! Needed a change from all the woodsy scenes I've been doing lately! So I did the line drawing for the piece above last night. But today, during a meeting at work (where I do my best doodling!) I came back to the dog cocking it's head in puzzlement. Thought I'd share him with you as well...
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!!
If only they fluently spoke the same language we do... |
Haha! I was going to do a dog cocking his head also but changed my mind. I have a feeling that woman above is only going to be temporarily puzzled. Either she will hear some serious lip smacking or she will simply remember she has a dog! The woman and the dog are both really great. Love the colors, too. It's a very nicely done scene.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Our dog did the very same thing with my daughter's PB&J last week!! Nice illustration :)
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you've managed to take the ordinary and make it "not so". Well done!
ReplyDeleteOooh...that dog looks like he KNOWS he's in trouble! I like her expression and body language as well!
ReplyDeleteGreat work: ) I love it! I really like your horse in the bucket...that made me smile: ))
ReplyDeleteHe he. I really like this.Look how sacred he is. The second illustration is also nice.
ReplyDeleteLove it!! What a super illustration..so much detail and fun in this great take on the prompt! Well done, Mit! I love the pup's expression..but hope he gets to finish that leg! : ) Thank you for your kind visit recently!
ReplyDeleteI love it, such wonderful humor. It's another great image!
ReplyDeleteUh oh. He's in B-I-I-I-I-G trouble!
ReplyDeleteNow I want to see the next frame, to see what the lady's reaction is … and the dog's.
haha, bad dog! very cute, nice work!
ReplyDeleteFunny illustrations. I especially like the puzzled like on the second dog.
ReplyDeleteOh I do love this! Reminds me of the exact expression on our dog after she purloined some yummy roast chicken :D
ReplyDeleteHaha so cute! I love the puzzled dog head tilt!
ReplyDeleteYep, my dog has that same look. Great!
ReplyDeletePuzzling! I like it! I especially love the eyes on the lady and dog.
ReplyDeleteMy fiancee's dog doesn't need to be sneaky ... he just as to look at her and she starts feeding him! Nice job!!

ReplyDeleteThis actually happened to me once, nice interpretatio of the topic
ReplyDeleteI'm having a flashback to when my dalmatian stole a chicken :) Cute illo!
ReplyDeleteAnd I when an alley cat often visited us.
ReplyDeleteBoy, that was a smart cat and he got away with lots of food.
Paula
very well done! terrific charaters!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I love her bewildered look - and her chicken-pilfering hound's rather sheepish expression from under the table :) To suddenly find your roast dinner's become a vegetarian affair must be pretty disappointing, though! P.S. Thanks for your post over on my blog :)
ReplyDeleteYour dog (below) doesnt need to speak our language, we get him as it is, right? Great drawing.
ReplyDeleteSo great!
ReplyDeleteLove these characters.
Cute illustration.
I miss having a dog... the expression on the dog in the second drawing's face is so funny.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Could be a scene from my house!
ReplyDeleteGreat expressions on all your characters... well illustrated.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love it!
ReplyDeleteCute dog, I love its face expression.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of a dog I had when I was a child, it ate my father's birthday cake XD
Ahahaha! Poor little innocent doggy! your style remind me, a little bit, the comics funny stripes of jokes, like Garfield etc.! :)
ReplyDeleteNice, image. This has happened to me many times. One day I'll learn to push the food out of my dog's reach.
ReplyDeleteYES! I do agree with the others GREAT expression! Well done and so true! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for taking the time to comment! I appreciate every single one! It sounds like there are A LOT of mischievous dogs (& cats!) out there!! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you'll come back & visit again next week! I'm looking forward to working on "HEIGHTS!"
This is cute. Leave it to the innocent dog, and then watch them cock there head so cute just wondering why your upset. Luv it!!
ReplyDeleteVery fun and the dog made it into both images :)
ReplyDeleteVery good. That is a very good description of puzzled..now how come I didnt think of that!?? My dog is sitting, staring at me with that expression right now...
ReplyDeleteThe innocent look on the dogs face is just priceless!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Doggie looks a bit worried, but not enough to stop gnawing on that leg. I hope he gets rid of the evidence. And quick!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE puzzled dogs cocking their heads.
Hahah I can totally relate to this picture. My pup is responsible for a lot of things missing around the house, not only food. Great job on the illustration! So much character =)
ReplyDeleteThis made me chuckle as soon as I looked at it - great expressions.
ReplyDeleteHA! Love your work and sense of humor! The horse in the bucket at the bottom of your blog is my absolute favorite. I especially love the *poke* hole under his tail :)...I ride weekly and they sure do love their sponge baths this time of year. I Look forward to seeing more of your work.
ReplyDeleteOur dog is acrobatic - there are a select few "safe zones" in our house to put food down. Otherwise, its at your own risk!
