Illustration Friday - HAUNT

This is a monster; not a ghost, but I'm pretty sure this guy could haunt somebody's dreams if he tried! The fear of growing a rear view like that will certainly haunt mine!!!  I was asked at the last minute to draw him for a Halloween party my company held today for the employees' children, so he was cranked out in less than 10 minutes.

But the kids didn't seem to notice. Pin the tail on the monster turned out to be a big hit! (Well, AFTER the candy collecting, that is!!)

And if HE didn't scare you, I can guarantee this photo of me WILL!!!  As always, I appreciate you stopping by!!! Happy Halloween, everyone!

  2. Lookin' good Mit! Your eyes are mesmerizing... Great job, especially considering the timeline... I'm not sure I could get my bristol and pencil out in ten minutes, much less pull together a fully colored(and excellent looking)illustration!

  7. If I may be so bold, you and that monster have nothing in common. You're lookin' good, but you should get your eyes checked.

  10. You look scarier than the monster with those manic eyes! We used to have pin the tail on the donkey when we were kids.

  11. Fantastic! Sometimes crazy time pressure can bring out the best -- no time for inner critic to shut you down! As always, fun, full of life (and drool!) and a monster everyone can love. Esp. like the ear shape, the few hairs on his head, and his adorable rear view.

  12. For a second there I thought you'd misread the prompt as "haunch". ;-) Clearly those bionic eyes enable you to create art at superhuman speed!

  13. SUPER clever and wonderful illustration Mit! I love it! Yes, what a derriere! Looks like the kiddos loved playing the game. I'm SO glad you were spared from Sandy's wrath. And I'm so sorry to hear of all of those affected in NY and NJ. Wow, I'm sure you have many connections to NJ that have been forever changed. Wishing your extended family/friends well out there. Have a lovely weekend!!

  14. Wonderful for a quick ten minutes! I'm not sure I could bear to watch people stick pins to his butt. If you think about it, it's a very strange game! Such a cute photo! Love that shirt color! :)
