Emogene & Edgar loved to pose for the camera whenever their mom would say cheese!
I came up with two ideas again this week. The first (below) just didn't seem strong enough to me, so I kept brainstorming. After recalling my 5 1/2 years of braces, Emogene & Edgar seemed to be an obvious solution to this week's challenge. But I just couldn't abandon Hector. He kind of looks like he might have been abandoned once already with that tail....but no worries. His belly would indicate he's been eating well now! As always, I thank you for visiting & appreciate your comments!

Hector's crooked tail wasn't going to win him any awards at the cat show, but it gave him character!
Emogene and Edgar definitely have crooked teeth.
ReplyDeleteHector is very cute and could be recognised very easily :)
Careful Mit, you're gonna get us used to getting TWO entries a week from you... Hector's got a lot of personality and has a great expression on his face. Your kids are awesome. Love that they're imperfect and kind of awkward looking, and still cute--just the way real kids are! Great job Mit and keep it up. I want two more postings by the end of the week...
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you manage to come up with two ideas, Phil is right though, we might be a disappointed if you go back to just one ;) Hector's a cutie, and you have just made me feel really lucky at not having to wear braces when I was a kid! Not that it matters Emogene and Edgar look so happy, it is nice that they aren't worrying about their teeth :)
ReplyDeleteHeee heee heee! These are SO much fun Mit! I love them both and I'm glad you posted both for us to enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOur niece has a kitty who was born with a crooked tail..so this is perfectly perfect..and well, I have one daughter with braces...we hope # 2 won't need them (crossing fingers). Have an awesome rest of the week!
Love those goofy crooked grins! Great fun characters!!
ReplyDeleteTheir teeth may be crooked, but at least they look happy about it!
ReplyDeleteBoth are great ideas and cute illustrations!
ReplyDeleteI like the cheeze kid's expressions.
ReplyDeleteHector should learn to avoid slamming doors. We had lots of cats when we were kids, and they were always getting the door slammed on their tails. Either stay in or stay out, Cat. Make up yer mind!
Great kids!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI love the humor in the expressions on the kids' faces. So funny! And the cat does have character! Love your illustrations!
ReplyDeleteHhahahahaha! I have a secret love for those kinda teeth! :D
ReplyDeleteCrooked or no, those toothy grins make me smile too. And as for Hector, I'm glad he slipped in sneakily in true kitty fashion!
ReplyDelete5 years of braces here too...the kids hit too close to home! Both are fantastic...totally impressed that you could finish two.
ReplyDeleteA crooked tail and wobbly whiskers. Cats are so much fun to illustrate!
ReplyDeleteHeee hheeee..I still crack up when I see your illustrations..they are SO much fun, Mit. Thanks for the visit today - oh yes! I forgot those Tootsie Pops! I love those (but they hate my teeth)..and snickers! Thanks for the visit and hope you have an awesome October and week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI can relate to both. I had braces next to forever too, and caught my dog's tail in a door once. Poor dog's tail was crooked ever after. Thanks for posting both illos!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog love!
